Message Here are the questions and the responses I got from GroupZ

1. Question Are passengers allowed? If so, does that rule change depending on what class you are in? Usually, the beginning class is not allowed to have anyone but an instructor in the car. Just wanted to clear that up.

Answer Passengers will be allowed only on parade laps when the pace cars will be going a slow to moderate speed.

2. Question Is the track event free to all non-drivers?

Answer There is a $5.00 entry fee for the track due to the increased insurance due to potential terror threats.

3. Question Is there going to be a tech inspection? If so, how is it being handled?

Answer Yes, there will be a tech inspection during the 8AM Drivers Meeting. Les Cannaday the event master will have his people do the tech inspection.

4. Question Who decides what class you are in? Is it self decided or is it all based on previous experience.

AnswerBased on what you put on your registration form ie no experience, some, very , SCCA license etc, Les Cannaday will decide what class you are in.

5. Question Will race gas be available at the track?.

Answer Race gas will be available at the track.

6. Question Will transponders be rented out?

Answer I do not think that transponders will be rented out, but will have to check to be sure.

7. Question I noticed somewhere that there was mention of a Nismo drift exibition. Any idea who the driver or drivers are?

Answer A Nismo drift exibition was talked about, but nothing for sure as of yet. The driver was suposed to be from Japan. That's all I know at this time, but I kind of doubt if it will happen.

8. Question Will the skid pad be open? Any drifting allowed? Last I checked, Willow Springs wasn't too keen on it.

Answer The autocross will be on the Streets of Willow using part of the skid pad for the autocross. As the day goes on we expect the course to open up using the Streets. I doubt if the skid pad will be open, but perhaps. Willow is not too keen on drifting, so in my opinion I doubt if it will happen.
